By varying the Z-Position, I wanted to find the focus of an electrical tunable lens from Optotune.I needed an easy setup for the correlation between current of the lens and focal power.Im not an expert in either both cases, but Im more familiar with LabView, as i t was part of my bachelors thesis.

The sequence for driving the Stepper has to given by a controller board (The Arduino in my case). The communication between the arduino and Labview slows down the max-speed of the stepper, but it works pretty well. Have direct internet connection (not connection via proxy server). Have the latest compatible version of the NI-VISA driver installed. ![]() If you have a connected and powered on instrument, double-click the instrument under Connected Instruments to populate the Manufacturer and Additional Keyword s search fields. If your instrument is physically connected but not listed, click Scan for Instruments to detect any instruments. You can type the model of your instrument in the Additional Keywords field or leave it blank to display all drivers from a specific manufacturer. If you cannot find a driver for your instrument, skip to the Instrument Driver Network (IDNet) section to search for it in IDNet. A dialog box will appear notifying you the installation was successful and the location of the driver. The instrument driver should be installed in LabVIEW xxxx instr.lib for Plug and Play drivers. Right-click on the block diagram Instrument IO Instrument Drivers. IDNet has a more extensive library, but an additional step is required to properly install the instrument driver. Enter the instrument manufacturer and model into the search field and click Search. If you cannot find the driver for your instrument, skip to the Other Steps section. Click the model name in the search results to display the list of available drivers. The instrument model page will display the available driver types and supported Application Development Environments (ADE) for the instrument.
